Westlake Community Luncheon: Westlake Football’s Coach Dodge

The Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce will host Westlake High School Athletic Director and Football Coach Todd Dodge at August’s Westlake Community Luncheon. The event theme is “The Motivation behind the Determination.”

The Westlake Community Luncheon will be held August 15, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Barton Creek Country Club at 8212 Barton Club Drive. The luncheon is by reservation only, with all reservations due the Thursday before the event, Thursday, August 10th. Cost of the luncheon, including meal, is $35 for members of the Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce and $40 for guests/non-members. Register here for the event.

Dodge is the Eanes Independent School District’s Westlake High School head coach and athletic director. He has coached for over 30 years, including six appearances as a head coach at the Texas state championship, and he led the west squad at the 2017 Army All-American Bowl game. USA Today’s High School Sports named him the 2015 Texas Coach of the Year, the year he led the Westlake team to State runner-up in the Class 6A Division 1 playoffs, with a record of 14-2.

While a coach at Southlake Carroll, he was named National Coach of the Year by Schutt Sports and USA Today and earned four state championships in five years, as well as three High School National titles. Dodge has coached seven State Offensive Players of the Year. He also was a University of Texas Quarterback, from 1982 to 1985, where he threw for 2,791 yards and 18 touchdowns.
