The City of West Lake Hills is hosting its annual Independence Day celebration on Tuesday, July 4, 2018. The July 4th Parade and Celebration will begin at Independent Bank at 101 Westlake Drive at 8:30 a.m. Attendees of all ages are encouraged to dress their “patriotic best” for the festive event.

From the Independent Bank parking lot, the Westlake Fire Department will lead the community parade down on Reveille. The parade will conclude back at the parking lot.

Festivities will include live music and free food from Texas Honey Ham Company, Amy’s Ice Cream, Trianon Coffee, and Pinkberry. A costume contest will be held in three categories: Most Patriotic Kids, Best Dressed Pet, and Best “Thing on Wheels.”

The event is hosted by the Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Belmont Village, Baylor Scott & White, Benchmark Bank, Independent Bank, and Granduca Hotels. Event sponsors include Primrose School of Westlake Hills, Independent Bank, Texas Honey Ham Company, Belmont Senior Village, Birds Barbershop, Camp Gladiator, Austin Sculpt & Tone, Amy’s Ice Cream, Texas Disposal Systems, Trianon, Pinkberry, Randalls, the Just for Fun Bunch, All Star Burger – Davenport Village, and Armstrong Community Music School.

In addition to the parade and festivities, cash donations will be accepted for the Central Texas Food Bank. Billed as a “good ol’ fashioned” event and a “great way to start your holiday,” more information is available from the City of West Lake or from the Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce.
