The Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce Community Luncheon in August 2018 will feature representatives from the Eanes Independent School District. Designed to bridge the business community and the larger community in the Westlake Hills area, Eanes ISD Superintendent Dr. Tom Leonard and Eanes ISD Athletic Director and Westlake High School Football Coach Todd Dodge will present.
Special guests for the program include the 2018 Business Incubator winners from Incubatoredu, a program in Eanes ISD’s Westlake High School that has a goal of blending entrepreneurship knowledge with experiential approaches to traditional business.
Leonard previously said of the program, “What makes this program so compelling is the chance for students to learn the fundamentals of business while creating their own startup company. It is a classic case of learning by doing that will engage these students from a fresh new perspective.” Many area business experts are volunteering their time to teach students in the program.
The luncheon will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at Austin Country Club on Long Champ Drive. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with networking from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $40 for members and $45 for non-members, and registration may be completed on the Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce website. Advance registration is required.
Westlake Hills Chamber Community Luncheons are held quarterly at the Austin Country Club, with the final luncheon of the year scheduled for Friday, November 9, 2018. Sponsorships also are available for the luncheons.
