The Westlake area is home to central Texas’ most distinguished golf courses – at the Austin Country Club and the Barton Creek Country Club.

Austin Country Club

The Austin Country Club is a private, member-owned club that offers golf, tennis, and social memberships by invitation only.

The club’s golf course sits on 180 beautiful acres along Lake Austin and offers impressive views of the Pennybacker (Loop 360) bridge. The 18-hole course was designed by Pete Dye, named one of the top architects in the world by Golfweek Magazine, and features deep pot bunkers, undulating turf, and an 18th hole fairway fall. Limestone slabs quarried on site serve as revetments along the tees, greens, and fairways.

Barton Creek Golf Course 2
Barton Creek Country Club offers Full Golf, Junior Golf, and Sport memberships, as well as a Barton Creek Lakeside Golf Membership, which includes golf, tennis, and social memberships at the Lakeside Club only.

The Barton Creek Country Club offers four golf courses in total. Fazio Foothills and Fazio Canyons are among Texas’ best courses and were designed by renowned course architect Tom Fazio. Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore designed the Crenshaw Cliffside Course in a traditional links style, and the Arnold Palmer-designed Palmer Lakeside Course offers views of Lake Travis and the hill country. Barton Creek Country Club also features the Barton Creek Golf Academy.

The River Place Country Club, Steiner Ranch Country Club, Lost Creek Country Club, and the Spanish Oaks Country Club also are near Westlake, as is the Lions Municipal Golf Course.
